Julie Solheim
Executive Director
Julie provides the strategic vision and organizational direction necessary to drive the mission forward. With over 20 years of experience in business development within a diversified portfolio for Cedars Group, LLC and Bush, LTD, Julie brings a sophisticated business acumen to the nonprofit sector.
As a seasoned entrepreneur, Julie spent the last decade building a successful global practice as a dog behaviorist, blending her expertise in animal behavior with a proven ability to scale operations. She holds a BS in Applied Liberal Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma and is recognized for her ability to align complex business functions with a heart-led mission. Julie currently resides in McKinney, Texas with her German Shepherd puppy, Enzo. Julie’s companion and business partner, Haider (pictured), passed on in 2025 but his legacy lives on through the HPF mission.
Mia Solheim
EVP of Operations & Interim Co-EVP of Marketing
Mia is a growth-oriented leader who translates strategic visions into efficient operational processes. Mia began her career supporting Google via Mosaic Sales Solutions, where she successfully managed warehouse operations, facilitated the National launch of 21 Google Pixel devices, and led high-performing sales teams to exceed year-over-year targets.
An entrepreneur at heart, Mia co-founded AllPets, a D2C subscription service, where she secured seed funding and managed the brand’s end-to-end development. She holds a BBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from Texas Christian University. A dedicated advocate for the HPF mission, Mia served as the organization’s first foster parent to golden retriever, Rosie, and remains active as a professional mentor and community volunteer in the DFW metroplex. Although she recently lost her gentle companion, Brodie, the memories and love they shared will continue to inspire her.
Natalie Clarke
EVP of Development & Interim Co-EVP of Marketing
Natalie serves as the organization’s lead fundraiser and strategist. She oversees integrated revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and capacity-building across a national network of local chapters.
Natalie brings extensive leadership experience from her time as Regional Development Director at Feeding America and VP of Individual Giving at MADD, where she specialized in major gifts, board development, and high-net-worth donor engagement. A versatile leader, she has also spearheaded initiatives for medical associations and anti-trafficking organizations. Natalie holds a B.S. in Marine Biology and a DVM from Texas A&M University. She resides in Texas with her miniature bernedoodle, Odie Ruben.
Stephanie Bailey
Stephanie, CPA, brings over a decade of leadership in financial strategy and advisory services. As a former Tax Director at KPMG, she led a regional practice advising organizations on compliance and long-term sustainability. Stephanie specializes in providing CFO-level guidance across the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, including healthcare, education, and social services.
With a collaborative approach, she partners with boards and executive teams to optimize budgeting, forecasting, and grant management. Stephanie holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma, where she was a collegiate heptathlete. She is an active nonprofit board member and lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, with her family and two bunnies and represents HPF in memory of her dog, Winston.
