About Dr. Katrina Cochran
A native Oklahoman and licensed psychologist for over 35 years, Dr. Cochran holds six college degrees, including two Ph.D.s from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. Her distinguished career in Oklahoma City was marked by a historic tenure at Mercy Health Center, where she became the first psychologist to serve as Chief of the Psychiatry Division.
Following the Oklahoma City bombing, Dr. Cochran dedicated her practice to trauma recovery and resilience. Her expertise led her to serve as a consultant for Church World Service and The Salvation Army after 9/11, where she spent years commuting to New York City to provide support and leadership training. A prolific author, she has written extensively on recovery, most recently publishing her 2021 book, 9/11: Life Forever Changed, which details her experiences in the aftermath of the attacks.
An accomplished clinician and popular speaker, Dr. Cochran is also a two-time cancer survivor and was crowned Ms. Oklahoma Senior America in 2015. Now residing in Hideaway, Texas, with her husband Norman, she enjoys a vibrant life of travel, music, and golf. She takes great pride in her family, including two daughters, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and remains dedicated to her faith with the guiding motto: To God be the Glory.
